DGC started designing here and there for friends in 2002 after attending ATI Tech in Dallas, TX. DG Creative had a super itch to create and make design work digital so I eventually started a clothing line which shortly after branched into many concepts because so many ideas were left homeless. A year after successfully traveling and vending my brand I realized I had 75 if not more concepts and designs just laying around that did not fit my brand. Shortly after seeing my apparel designs many friends and customers started asking who the designer was. Once I told them it was me the design business was in full gear, it was a tee here a logo there, shortly after it picked up to 5 and 8 tee designs by early 06 I found myself designing full brands for many new businesses and clothing lines. It was never fully my intent to be a full-time graphic designer but it seemed to call me very strongly.
In an attempt to stay up with the trends on MySpace (circa 04-06) I started learning HTML, css and php coding to enhance my visual online presence. My background in design with my own layouts started to gain attention from these very same clients on my page. Very shortly after my clients also wanted custom designs to enhance their brands and the coding became more advanced as I strive to never make two layouts the same. At first Html, css was the standard, then I begin adding a few more tweaks and after 3 months of customizing MySpace layouts I was asked to build websites for small companies & big companies alike. I enjoy coding as it balances my creative mindset with my analytical.
In late 07 many clients started to contact me about projects. I found many times their imagery was drastically poor for reproduction. I waited for a good sale and invested in a DSLR to aid my clients in good photography if the project called for it. My wife and I run a photography business which is an extension of DG Creative under the name Camera-Chi
